Meeting of OBE Coordinators
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology successfully organized an OBE Coordination Meeting for Spring-2025 for the university’s OBE Program Coordinators on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the IQAC Conference Room, Level 9, Block D, AUST.
The meeting brought together the OBE Program Coordinators from different departments and schools of the university to review ongoing Outcome-Based Education (OBE) activities, discuss accreditation-related developments, and strengthen academic quality assurance practices across the institution. The program served as an important platform for sharing updates, exchanging experiences, and addressing challenges in implementing OBE in higher education.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Naznin Sultana Chaity, Associate Professor and Additional Director, IQAC, AUST. In her speech, she warmly welcomed all participants and highlighted the significance of Outcome-Based Education in ensuring academic excellence, student-centered learning, and continuous quality improvement in higher education institutions.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, Director, IQAC, AUST, emphasized that effective implementation of OBE is vital to achieving program objectives, improving graduate outcomes, and meeting national and international accreditation standards. He individually asked the OBE coordinators about updates on Fall-2024 and Spring-2025 OBE activities, as well as on the ongoing academic quality enhancement initiatives undertaken by departments/schools. The session included comprehensive discussions on curriculum mapping, course outcome assessment, program outcome evaluation, data management, and reporting procedures related to OBE implementation. Participants actively engaged in discussions and shared their departmental experiences, challenges, and recommendations for effectively implementing OBE practices. OBE coordinators shared the progress and activities, curriculum updates, and raised issues to arrange additional training programs for the CQI loop.
He also discussed the latest accreditation updates and elaborated on the preparation activities for BAETE Version-3, focusing on documentation, assessment strategies, continuous improvement processes, and compliance with accreditation requirements. He also raised the accreditation from BAC. The OBE coordinator from the School of Business has provided updates on pursuing the BAC accreditation and their preparedness.

An interactive question-and-answer session was held at the end of the technical discussions, during which the OBE Program Coordinators exchanged views on assessment methods, accreditation procedures, and continuous improvement strategies.

The meeting concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, who expressed his sincere appreciation to all OBE Program Coordinators for their active participation, valuable contributions, and continued commitment toward strengthening academic quality and accreditation readiness at AUST
