Workshop on “CO-PO Mapping and CEPA for Engineering Programs”

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) convened a workshop on “CO-PO Mapping and CEPA for Engineering Programs” on Thursday, 04 September 2025, from 02:30 p.m. to 04:30 p.m. at the Distance Learning Theatre, Level 8, Block-C, AUST. The workshop was strategically designed to orient newly appointed faculty members and Lecturer G-II from the departments of CE, CSE, EEE, TE, and MPE with the essential frameworks of CO-PO Mapping and CEPA.

The proceedings commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, Director of IQAC, who critically examined the concepts of CO-PO mapping and Complex Engineering Problem Activities (CEPA) in light of contemporary accreditation standards. He provided a rigorous exposition on outcome performance indicators, graduate attributes stipulated by BAETE, and the articulation of program outcome statements. Furthermore, he emphasized the alignment of academic delivery with the BAETE manual to ensure quality assurance and accreditation readiness.

The workshop culminated in a dynamic Q&A session that facilitated scholarly interaction, clarifying practical challenges and methodological considerations. The event was formally concluded with a vote of thanks, underscoring the workshop’s contribution to strengthening the culture of quality assurance and outcome-based academic practices at AUST.
