Workshop on “Integration of Artificial Intelligence in TLA Activities at HEI”

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) organized a workshop titled “Integration of Artificial Intelligence in TLA Activities at HEI” on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the VC Seminar Room, Level 4, Block-D. The session was exclusively designed for all Assistant Professors of the university to enhance their understanding of the pedagogical potential of Artificial Intelligence in higher education. The program commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, Director of IQAC, who highlighted the relevance of integrating emerging technologies in academic practices to foster innovation in teaching and learning.

The Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, in his inaugural remarks, emphasized the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in modern academia. He underscored the necessity for faculty members to acquire AI literacy to improve instructional quality, learner engagement, and assessment efficiency within higher education institutions.

The keynote presentation was delivered by Prof. Dr. B. M. Mainul Hossain, Director, Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka. His discourse provided an in-depth analysis of the integration of AI tools and methodologies in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (TLA). He elaborated on practical strategies for classroom application, demonstrated the pedagogical implications of AI-assisted learning, and discussed challenges concerning ethical use and academic integrity in AI-enhanced environments.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks from Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, expressing sincere gratitude to the keynote speaker, the Honorable Vice Chancellor, and all participating faculty members for their active engagement and intellectual contributions.
